    Jimmy The Greek is fast service chain serving Greek & Mediterranean food located mainly in food courts across Canada including this location at the Cataraqui Centre food court. The food is generally hot & ready to be served. Dinner plates including grilled lamb chops, pork souvlaki, chicken souvlaki, roast chicken, chicken filet, grilled shrimp, grilled salmon, gyros, spinach & cheese pie, falafel, dolmades, fried calamari, plus entree salads and pitas. Most items & dinners $6.49-$10.99 plus HST. Bottled Coke beverages offered here.

    While shopping at the mall on a busy Saturday, I took a lunch break. I decided on the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner ($9.49 plus tax/$10.70) which includes Greek salad, rice & roasted potatoes. The service was quick and the box of food put together accordingly. The chicken souvlaki was very tender and moist and seasoned and the tzitziki sauce (creamy texture) had a tangy flavour. The rice was fluffy with peas & carrots. The Greek salad was the standard crisp iceberg lettuce, tomato wedges, cucumber, red onions, kalemata olives, topped with crumbled feta cheese and tossed in a light Greek dressing. The hot roasted potatoes were firm and had a zesty flavour, seasoned just right.

    Overall, the food tasted very fresh and the portion of food was good and filling. This was a very good choice for lunch in the food court.
